At first, the Black Ops 1.04 patch seemed like a godsend.  It was supposed to fix the horde of issues plaguing Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PlayStation 3.

But when PS3 users started downloading and updating Activision's 1.04 update, they found that the supposed savior of online gameplay was not a savior at all, but just a bigger problem to deal with.  Complaints quickly spread about Black Ops freezing and frequently disconnecting from live play.  It's even known to crash the game completely.
